- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned or thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cooked rice, for serving
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Marinate the sliced beef in the mixture for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated beef until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and carrots until softened (3-5 minutes), then add bell peppers and cook until slightly tender (2-3 minutes).
- Return the beef to the skillet and mix well. Heat through for another minute.
- Serve over cooked rice, garnished with scallions and sesame seeds.
