- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water with instant yeast; let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients followed by eggs one at a time and softened butter until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, divide it into approximately 18 equal portions, shape each into a bun and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Cover the buns with a towel and let them rise for an additional 30–40 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare an egg wash by whisking together one egg with two tablespoons of water; brush over each bun.
- Bake in the preheated oven for around 15 minutes or until golden brown.
